We were proud to participate in this year’s AIIM Forum UK, the annual conference for information management professionals.
Held in London, the event brought together records managers, expert technologists and a range of suppliers through keynotes, break-out sessions and an exhibition space. We shared our insights and advice, and – with our customer Hymans Robertson – showcased our latest innovations in managing client information.
Our well-attended case study session featured Barry Smart, IT Director and Partner at leading financial consultancy Hymans Robertson, who took delegates through our new Client Information Management (CIM) system.
Client Information Management
Many businesses rely on the Microsoft enterprise platform – Outlook for email, SharePoint to manage projects, and a CRM system to manage client details. It’s common to find customer information – like emails, contact details, and records of activities like meeetings and phone calls – fragmented across these different systems. There’s never been an easy way to get a full picture of your client relationship.
Hymans Robertson had a vision for a solution to this system, that would integrate Outlook, CRM and SharePoint into a unified, synchronised system. We collaborated closely with them to implement their vision. The resulting CIM system gives staff a complete picture of the business’s relationship with every client – from the first interaction, through every project, to the day they part ways.
Integrated and intuitive
CIM manages client data across every project, from sales and marketing, through the prospect stage and contractual engagement, to delivery and post-delivery services. When a new client or project is added to the system, it automatically creates a record in CRM, and creates a linked SharePoint site using a smart provisioning engine.
Staff can use drag-and-drop within Outlook to associate emails and documents with a client, and a tight version control system means you are always working with the latest version of the document.
The seamlessness of CIM makes it a totally intuitive way of working, driving efficiency across the business with up-to-date information and a complete overview of all the vital details. It means there are no more ‘unknowns’ about clients – everyone in your business is working with the same data.
